Location

Bhangal, Kathmandu

An ideal trek for a family holiday. Not too high and not too low, short and sweet!

The foothills of the Annapurna Himal range are unique and diversified, naturally, ethnically and culturally. The mosaics of ethic groups inhabiting these foothills are primarily agrarian. As a supplementary income many of them trade locally produced cottage crafts, while others run tea-shops, inns and lodges catering to various needs of the travelers in the region. Occupational castes are scattered around the lower and mid-hill settlements. The forested hill sides and slopes provide excellent habitat to a very wide range of birds, mammals, butterflies. The rhododendron and many other flowers are in bloom in March-April and make the hill sides very colorful. In a few days across these foothills, one can get an insight into the cross section of the region and experience a whole new world.
