Location

Bhangal, Kathmandu

The Langtang region receives much fewer trekkers than the Everest and Annapurna regions of Nepal, offering all that a great Himalayan walk does; spectacular mountain scenery, pastoral Himalayan villages and their friendly inhabitants.

The trek begins at a road head at Syabrubesi, a scenic day’s drive from Kathmandu. As we trek up the valley, we see it transform from the relatively gentle “V” of the lower valley to the “U” in its higher, glaciated beginnings. The views from Langshisha are indeed dramatic, and the Himalayan meadows at Langtang are ablaze with colorfulflowers such as edelweiss around the year.

You can combine both Langtang and Gosainkund Helambu into a single trek of 14 days.
